Eligibility Criteria and age limit

Age Limit

Candidates for the Indian Army Agniveer (General Duty) must be 17 and 6 months years old to 21 years old.

Agniveer General Duty (GD) All Arms

Class 10th Matric with 45% Marks and a Minimum 33% in Each Subject.

Agniveer Technical (All Arms)

10+2 Intermediate Exam in Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with Minimum 50% Marks in Aggregate and 40% in Each Subject.
OR
10+2 /Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics,
Chemistry, Maths & English from any recognized State Edn
Bd or Central Edn Bd to incl NIOS and ITI course of min one
yr in the required field with NSQF level 4 or above.
OR
10th/Matric pass with 50% in aggregate and min 40% in
English, Maths and Science with 02 yrs of Tech Training
from ITI or two/three yrs Diploma in following streams only:-

Class 10th High School Exam Passed in Any Recognized Board in India. Minimum 33% in Each Subject.

Agniveer Tradesman 8th Pass

Class 8th Eight Exam Passed in Any Recognized Board in India. Minimum 33% in Each Subject.

Exam Pattern

  • Here are the details of the Indian Army Agniveer GD exam pattern:
    • The online test will include multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
    • Depending on the application category, the candidates need to answer 50 questions in one hour or 100 questions in two hours.
    • There is a negative marking of 1/4, i.e., 25% marks shall be deducted for an incorrect response.
    • No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
    • Full marks are awarded for correct answers.
