About This Course
- The SSC CGL exam is one of the most popular examinations conducted by the commission, attracting a large number of candidates each year.
- The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2024 to fill various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ positions in different Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India, as well as various Constitutional Bodies, Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals.
- Application Form: June and July.
- Exam Dates: The Tier 1 exam is held in September. The Tier 2 exam is held in December.
- Frequency: The SSC CGL exam is held once a year.

Candidates belonging to the certain categories may be granted an upper age relaxation (mentioned in the table below) as per the government rules and regulations.

Tier I will include Objective Type-Multiple Choice questions. Except for English Comprehension, the questions will be set in both English and Hindi languages.
Each incorrect answer will result in a 0.50 penalty (negative marking).

Note:
- There will be a 1 mark deduction for each incorrect answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I, and a 0.50 mark deduction for each incorrect answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.
- The Data Entry Speed Test is compulsory for all posts; however, it will only be qualifying in nature.
- Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III will be administered in separate shifts during the Tier-II examination, and Paper-I is mandatory for all positions.
- Paper-II will only be for candidates who apply for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and are shortlisted in Tier-I.
- Similarly, only those candidates who were shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III, i.e. for the positions of Assistant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer, will be eligible to take Paper-III.
