SSC CGL Age Relaxation

Candidates belonging to the certain categories may be granted an upper age relaxation (mentioned in the table below) as per the government rules and regulations.

PwBD Unreserved: 10 years

Ex-Servicemen 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date.
Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof General: 3 years

 

SC/ST: 8 years

Additional permissible relaxation in upper age limit for Group ‘C’ posts
Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as of closing date for receipt of application. General: Upto 40 years of age

 

SC/ST: Upto 45 years of age

Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried. General: Up to 35 years of age

 

SC/ST: Up to 40 years of age

 

SSC CGL Educational Qualification

Statistical Investigator Grade-II Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects

 

AND

Must have studied Statistics as a subject in all three years or all 6 semesters of the graduation course.

Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Bachelor’s Degree
All other Posts Bachelor’s Degree

Note:

Tier I will include Objective Type-Multiple Choice questions. Except for English Comprehension, the questions will be set in both English and Hindi languages.

Each incorrect answer will result in a 0.50 penalty (negative marking).

Note:

  • There will be a 1 mark deduction for each incorrect answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I, and a 0.50 mark deduction for each incorrect answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.
  • The Data Entry Speed Test is compulsory for all posts; however, it will only be qualifying in nature.
  • Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III will be administered in separate shifts during the Tier-II examination, and Paper-I is mandatory for all positions.
  • Paper-II will only be for candidates who apply for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and are shortlisted in Tier-I.
  • Similarly, only those candidates who were shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III, i.e. for the positions of Assistant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer, will be eligible to take Paper-III.
