About This Course
- The Staff Selection Commission conducts a competitive examination for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldars.
- The SSC MTS position is classified as a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial role. This role is available in various Ministries, Departments, and Offices of the Government of India, as well as in Constitutional Bodies, Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals across different States and Union Territories. The Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) position within the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficient operations of various governmental divisions and offices. These employees are vital to the workforce, handling a range of essential duties necessary for the smooth functioning of the office.
- SSC Havaldar’s role is classified as General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial position, in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under the Revenue Department, Ministry of Finance. SSC MTS Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination or its equivalent from a recognized board on or before the cut-off date.
Exam Pattern
The SSC MTS selection process varies by post, and consists of two stages:
- Stage 1: Computer-Based Examination (CBT)
- Applicable for both Multi Tasking Staff and Havaldar positions.
- The SSC MTS Exam will be conducted in Hindi, English, and 13 regional languages.
- The CBT will be held in two sessions (Session I and Session-II) on the same day, both of which are mandatory.

NOTE:-
- Each session lasts 45 minutes.
- The examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions.
- There will be no negative marking in SSC MTS CBT Session I.
- In Session II, one mark will be deducted as a negative mark for each wrong answer.
- Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST)
- This stage is exclusively for the Havaldar position.
