About This Course
- Through the SSC GD Constable Exam, the recruitment of the candidates for Constables (General Duty) will done for forces namely Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) forces.
- The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, Document Verification, and Medical Test.
- Application Form: September and October.
- Exam Date: January or February
- Frequency: The SSC GD exam is typically conducted once a year.

Eligibility Criteria and age limit
- Candidates applying for the GD Constable position should be aware of the age requirements as well as any upper age relaxations for different categories.
- Minimum Age – 18 years
- Maximum Age – 23 years

Educational Qualification
- To be eligible to apply for the Constable (General Duty) Posts, candidates must have completed their Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognised Board/University.

Selection Process
- The selection process for SSC GD Constable consists of three stages. A candidate must have to clear all the stages to be finally recommended for the post. After clearing all three stages mentioned below, the candidate will have to appear for the Document Verification process
- Stage 1: Computer-Based Examination
- Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Stage 3: Medical examination (DME/RME) & DV
Exam Pattern
- The computer-based examination will consist of one objective-type paper with 80 questions each carrying two marks.
- Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted by the Commission in English, Hindi and in 13 Regional Languages.
- For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks.
