Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

To apply for the RPF Constable position candidates must be within the age range of 20 to 28 years.

Certain special categories are eligible for age relaxation.Check the table for details on the relaxation criteria below:

Educational Qualification

• Candidates applying for the RPF Constable position must hold the educational qualifications specified in the CEN from a recognized university by the final application submission date.
• They should have passed the 10th standard or its equivalent from a recognized board. Individuals awaiting the results of their final examination for the prescribed educational qualification are advised against applying.

Selection Process

• RPF Constable Selection Process comprises three different stages. Candidates have to go through all three stages to get shortlisted as RPF Constable position. You can check the recruitment process in detail below:-

Computer-Based Test:- The RPF Constable Computer Based Test will be conducted as the first phase of the recruitment process. The examination will be conducted at the 10th/Matric level standard. The marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be considered for shortlisting candidates for subsequent stages of the recruitment process.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Measurement Test (PMT):-  For the RPF Constable PET/PMT, candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the CBT will be summoned for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification (DV). The number of candidates called for these tests will be up to 10 times the number of vacancies in each category for Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen as per merit.

Passing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory, and it will be considered as a qualifying criterion without any marks being awarded. Refer to the table below for the PET & PMT parameters:

Document Verification (DV):- Based on candidates’ performance in the CBT and provided they qualify in the PET & PMT, they will proceed to Document Verification. The appointment of selected candidates is contingent upon them passing the requisite Medical Fitness Test administered by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and category certificates, scrutiny of character and antecedents by the local Administration, and successful completion of initial training.

Candidates failing to appear for Document Verification will not be considered for final selection, regardless of their performance in the CBT and PET/PMT. Those shortlisted for DV must present all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies during the DV process.

RPF Constable 2024 Salary

RPF Constable Executive will receive payment according to the Pay Level in the 7th CPC, positioned at level 3 with an initial pay of 21,700/.
