About This Course
- The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct the Online Examination (Preliminary and Main) and an Interview for the Common Recruitment Process to fill Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Participating Banks.

Educational Qualification
- The minimum educational qualification is as follows.
- Candidates should have graduated from a recognized university.
- Candidates must have a working knowledge of computers.
- Note: Candidates in their final year of graduation or awaiting their final results are not eligible to apply for the exam. They must have completed their graduation and obtained the necessary documents before the last date to apply.
Selection Process
- To get selected as an IBPS PO, you must qualify in three major rounds: Prelims exam, Mains Exam and Interview. IBPS PO selection process is as follows:
- Prelims exam: This exam is qualifying in nature. The Preliminary Examination acts as a filter, selecting candidates who demonstrate the required skills and potential to proceed to the next level.
- Mains exam: Candidates who successfully clear the Preliminary Examination move on to the Mains Examination. The Mains Examination is a comprehensive test that evaluates candidates’ knowledge and skills across multiple subjects.
- Interview: Candidates who qualify in the Mains Examination progress to the Interview stage, which plays a significant role in the final selection process. The Nodal Bank of the respective State/UT conducts the interview. It is a platform for candidates to showcase their personality, communication skills, and subject knowledge.
- After selection, marks of mains and interviews are calculated, and the final merit list is released. The IBPS releases a list of provisional allotments for selected candidates on its official website. This list outlines the banks and branches where the candidates have been allocated positions.

- There is a penalty for incorrect answers. For each incorrect answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks allocated to that question will be deducted.
