Criteria to Join DIA India

• Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
• Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is typically required.

Advanced degrees in relevant fields such as International Relations, Political Science, Cybersecurity, or Engineering are advantageous.

• Age Limit: There is no specific age limit, but candidates must meet the physical and mental requirements for the position.
• Experience:

Relevant work experience in intelligence, military, or law enforcement is highly regarded.

For entry-level positions, internships or relevant academic projects may be considered.

• Security Clearance:

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

The clearance process includes a thorough background check, drug screening, and polygraph examination.

• Physical Fitness: Candidates must demonstrate excellent physical and mental fitness.
• Language Proficiency: Knowledge of foreign languages is considered an asset but is not mandatory for all positions.

Recruitment Pathways

• Direct Recruitment: DIA recruits candidates directly through job postings on their official website and other government job portals.
• Deputation: Officers from other government departments, such as the police or armed forces, can be deputed to DIA.
