About This Course

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen.
• Age:

For SSC (Tech) and SSCW (Tech): 20 to 27 years as of 01 April 2024 (Candidates born between 02 April 1997 and 01 April 2004, both days inclusive).

For Widows of Defense Personnel: Maximum of 35 years as of 01 April 2024.

• Education:

Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply.

Candidates studying in the final year of the Engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination along with mark sheets of all semesters/years by 01 October and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting of Applications: Selection process involves shortlisting based on academic performance
• SSB Interview: Candidates who are shortlisted will be called for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview.
• Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a thorough medical examination.
• Final Merit List: Based on the performance in the SSB interview and medical examination.

Training

• Officers Training Academy (OTA): Selected candidates will undergo training at the OTA, Chennai.
