Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- There is no age limit for candidates appearing in the CUET (UG) – 2024.
- Those who have completed the class 12 or equivalent examination or are currently in the process of appearing for the 2024 exam, regardless of their age, are eligible to participate.
- However, candidates must meet the age criteria specified by the respective University, Institution, or Organization for admission purposes.
Educational Qualification
Eligible candidates for CUET must have completed their Class 12th or an equivalent examination.
Exam Pattern
- The CUET UG 2024 Test follows an objective type format with Multiple Choice Questions.
- It is conducted in Hybrid Mode, allowing candidates to choose between a Computer-Based Test or Pen & Paper.
- Correct answers or the most suitable responses will be awarded five marks each (+5). However, for every incorrectly marked option, one mark will be deducted (-1).
- The medium of the exam includes 13 languages: Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Punjabi, Tamil, Odia, Telugu, and Urdu.
- In all subjects, including languages, candidates are required to attempt 40 out of 50 questions.
- The test duration is 45 minutes, except for specific subjects such as Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, and General Test, where the duration is extended to 60 minutes.
