Overview

  • The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is an entrance exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) for admission to the first year of the 5-year B.Arch. degree course at recognized institutions across India.
  • The test assesses cognitive skills, visual perception, aesthetic sensitivity, logical reasoning, and critical thinking ability.

  • Candidates can appear for a maximum of 3 attempts in NATA within one academic year.
  • The best score from all attempts will be considered for the declaration of results.
  • The NATA test score will remain valid for a period of 2 academic years.
  • There will be a 90-minute Drawing and Composition Test (80 marks), followed by a 90-minute Online Aptitude Test (120 marks).
  • Candidates who have passed or are currently studying in class 11th or 12th with PCM subjects can take the NATA examination.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have passed or be appearing in class 11th or class 12th, or any equivalent qualifying examination, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.
  • ORCandidates must have passed or be appearing for a 10+3 diploma examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  • There is no specific age limit for appearing for the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) exam.

Exam Pattern

  • It is a combination of Offline and Online Tests, with a total duration of 3 hours.
  • Part A will be an offline test of 90 minutes, consisting of a Drawing and Composition Test. There will be a total of 3 questions carrying 80 marks.
  • It will consist of one question each on Composition and Color, Sketching & Composition (Black and White), and 3D Composition.
  • Part B will be an online test of 90 minutes, consisting of an Aptitude Test. There will be a total of 45 questions carrying 120 marks.
  • The question paper will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • All questions and instructions will be available in English only.
