Exam Dates and Application Form
Application Form
The application forms for both MR and SSR are typically released twice a year. For the 2024 cycle, the forms were available in January and again in July.
Exam Dates
SSR Exam: The SSR exam for the first cycle in 2024 was conducted from July 9 to July 112.
MR Exam: The MR exam for the first cycle in 2024 took place from July 12 to July 152.
Frequency
Both the MR and SSR exams are conducted twice a year
Eligibility Criteria and age limit
Age Limit
- For SSR and MR: Candidates must have been born between November 1, 2003, and April 30, 2007.
Educational Qualification
- SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit): Candidates must have completed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with Mathematics, Physics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science.
- MR (Matric Recruit): Candidates must have passed the Class 10 (High School) examination from a recognized board in India.
Physical Requirements
- Height: 157 cm for males and 152 cm for females.
- Running: 1.6 km completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds for males and 8 minutes for females.
- Squat Ups (Uthak Baithak): 20 times for males and 15 times for females.
- Push Ups: 12 times for males only.
- Bent Knee Sit-ups: 10 times for females only.

- Selection process for the SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit) and MR (Matric Recruit) at Indian Navy consists of multiple stages, which are as follows.
