Overview

• The Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission has released the notification for recruitment of candidates as Sub Inspector of Police.
• The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of an Objective Test, PST, PET, and Subjective Test.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification for HP Police-

For this job vacancy applicant must have completed his 12+3/ Graduation from the recognized board from the Himachal Pradesh State.

• Age Limit for the HP Police-

Applicants who will be applying for this job they should have age between 18- 23 years as on 01/01/2023.

Age Relaxation for OBC up to 25 years and for SC/ ST for 27 years.

Selection Process

Selection process varies for various posts. The Police Recruitment Board of Himachal Pradesh will select the suitable candidates for the SI post on the basis of different phases of the recruitment process. The selection procedure for HP Police SI recruitment is given below:

• Physical Standards Test (PST)
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Written Test
• Personality Test
• Medical Examination
• Verification of Document

Exam Pattern

• The examination will be of objective-type, consist of 100 MCQs, and hold 100 marks. 
• The time allocated will be 90 minutes.
• Each Question will carry 1 mark.
• There will be no negative marking.

Physical Efficiency Test

Subjective Test

• The subjective exam will be for 100 marks and the questions asked will include Précis writing, Essay writing, etc. in English & Hindi languages along with questions to test candidates’ knowledge of General Hindi and English.

Personality Test

• It is a 15 marks test that is conducted to judge candidates on their suitability for the post.

Medical Examination

• Medical examination is important to check the candidates are physically fit and capable of taking responsibilities as per the demand of the post.
