Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in any discipline or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Candidates in their Final Year/Semester of Graduation can also apply for the SBI PO Position provisionally. However, if selected for an interview, they must provide proof of graduating by December 31.

Mains Examination

  • The Main Examination will be conducted online. It will comprise two parts:
    • Objective Test: This test carries 200 marks and will last for 3 hours. It consists of four sections, each with separate timings.
    • Descriptive Test: This test carries 50 marks and will be conducted immediately after the Objective Test ends. Candidates are required to type their Descriptive Test responses on the computer.

SBI PO Interview

  • The Bank will administer a Psychometric test to profile the personalities of candidates shortlisted for Phase III.
  • The test results may be presented to the Interview panel to provide a comprehensive understanding of the candidates.

SBI PO Final Selection

  • Candidates must qualify both Phase-II and Phase-III separately.
  • Marks obtained in Phase II (Main Examination – Objective and Descriptive) will be added to Phase III (Group Exercise & Interview) marks to create the final merit list.
  • Marks obtained in Phase-I (Preliminary Examination) will not be considered in the final merit list.
  • Marks of Phase-II (Main Examination) and Phase-III (Group Exercise & Interview) will be normalised to a total of 100 marks.
