About This Course

• Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) is a state-level exam conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala.
• The HPTET conducted by HPBOSE is a state-level exam to determine the eligibility of candidates as the teacher in primary and upper primary levels.
• Frequency

Twice a Year: The HP-TET exam is conducted twice a year, once in June and once in November.

• June Session

Application Form Dates: The application form for the June session is typically available from early May to late May.

Exam Date: The exam for the June session is usually held from late June to early July.

• November Session

Application Form Dates: The application form for the November session is generally available from late September to late October.

Exam Date: The exam for the November session is typically conducted from mid to late November.

Age Limit

The age of the candidates who are applying for HP TET Exam must not be less than 18 years.

However, there is no bar for upper age limit.

Selection Process

• Candidates appearing for Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) will be shortlisted on the basis of their score in the HP TET Online Exam.
• HP TET is an eligibility test only which means, qualifying HP TET does not guarantee jobs to the aspirants.
• They have to apply for recruitment at different schools based on the available vacancies which require HP TET Certification for which the candidates must score more or equal to 60% marks in order to get selected.

Exam Pattern

• HP TET is a 150 marks exam that consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each question carries one mark.
• There is no negative marking for wrong answers in the HP TET exam. The duration of the HP TET exam will be 150 minutes.
